By The Rail Park (other events)

7 Dates Through Nov 20, 2016

ABOUT ABOUT

Join Friends of the Rail Park board members for a street-level walking tour of the proposed site of Philadelphia's next great public space. This street-level tour will follow along elevated and submerged sections of the former Reading Railroad, and tour leaders will share stories of its history and visions for its future.

Tours begin at 10AM at 21st and Pennsylvania Avenue on the east side of the Rodin Museum and proceed to 12th and Noble Streets, the site of Phase I, which is a designed, engineered and shovel ready project. Tours will cover a distance of 1.5 miles and conclude at approximately noon. Sturdy shoes or sneakers and drinking water are recommended.

We ask for a donation of $25 for each tour participant, which helps ensure our all-volunteer nonprofit organization can continue to offer public activities and events like this one. If you would like to take the tour but a $25 donation is beyond your means, please email [email protected], and we will accommodate you.

Spaces are limited, so please notify us as soon as possible if you are no longer able to attend by emailing [email protected]
