Join Friends of the Rail Park for a street-level walking tour of the proposed site of Philadelphia's next great public space. The tour follows along elevated and submerged sections of the former Reading Railroad, while your tour guide shares stories about the site's history and visions for the future.
Tours begin at 21st and Pennsylvania Avenue on the east side of the Rodin Museum and proceed to 12th and Noble Streets, the site of Phase 1, which is now open to the public! Tours cover a distance of 1.5 miles in about 1.5-2 hours. Wear comfortable shoes and bring some water.
Spaces are limited, so please notify us as soon as possible if you are no longer able to attend by emailing [email protected].
- Time: Please be advised that the tour will begin promptly at 10am (or 1pm for the April 13 date) and conclude between 11:30 am and noon (2:30 and 3 for the April 13 date). We recommend arriving 10 minutes before start time to sign in and pick up a map.
- Location: Beginning at the northwest corner of N. 21st St. and Pennsylvania Ave. and concluding at Phase 1 of the Rail Park at 12th and Noble Streets.
- Donation: $25
We are a nonprofit, and donations help make programming (and tours like this one) possible, so we ask for a $25 donation. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and help make public events and activities, like tours, possible. Additional donations can be made via our website. If $25 is too much right now, email us at [email protected]. We want the Rail Park experience to be accessible to everyone!
Additional Info:
If this tour must be cancelled due to inclement weather, we'll email you at least two hours in ahead of the tour.
